Karl is a challenge. He takes twice as long to make because he's essentially two toys in the one body. He turns inside out so he is a chameleon in the true sense of the word.
Technically, he's not difficult to make but nevertheless, it's taken me a few goes to get him just right.
I'm normally quite a firm stuffer but in Karl's case, less is best because if you stuff him firmly as I usually do, he's nigh on impossible to turn inside out. So these days, he's filled with only a sniff of fibrefill to give his body just a hint of substance.
He's also the only toy I enclose with instructions on how to change his colour. I mean, it's not rocket science but it's important that one pulls on his tail - not his legs - to turn him inside out.
Since when did soft toys get so complicated?
