It's been another interesting week crocheting through COVID.

Because I've been cut off from my usual yarn supply (I normally buy my yarn from the U.S when I'm there for work), I've started to run low. Actually, I had started to run low well before this pandemic started but that was because I'd accepted more work here at home over the last 12 months as opposed to travelling overseas.

I had mistakenly assumed that I could just hop on a plane and replenish my stocks anytime if I really wanted to. That was the first thing I had taken for granted.

This week I was also contacted by one of my customers in the U.S advising that a parcel that I'd posted back on the 29 April hadn't yet arrived. I know parcels are taking longer to get anywhere fast these days but I guess I had again misjudged exactly how much of a delay there would be.

Timely parcel delivery - the second thing I'd taken for granted.

I'm not sure I like this post-COVID world. I know I should just be thankful for the health of myself and my family but with the weather turning cold and rainy, it's easy to starting thinking it's all doom and gloom.

But then I remind myself - it's cocktail night in my household tonight - yippee!

What have you got to be thankful for?
