We seem to have had an unseasonally warm April but the chill is slowly starting to creep in at night which means I'll have to start wearing socks to bed.  I have cold feet even in the middle of summer so they are pretty much frozen all of winter. Haha.

So it's probably no coincidence that everyone's woolly socks and slippers are starting to be the footwear of choice at home. I've had more orders for these slippers this week than any other week previously.

They are pretty quick to make up.

My two main challenges whenever I make these slippers is 1/ that the size is correct and 2/ whether I'll leave any unsightly holes in them.

It's ok if the slippers that I'm making are my size because I can always check the fit myself.

But if they're not my size, then there's a little bit of guess work that goes on. I usually Google the size and then use the measurement to double check that I'm on the right track.

I haven't had any returned to me yet but that doesn't stop me worrying about size every time.

The second thing that I worry about is holes when I'm crocheting around the main opening.

The pair that I made last night had a hole at one corner that was noticeable to me but probably wouldn't be to anyone that didn't crochet - after all, crochet has a degree of holiness about it anyway. But just what degree of holiness is ok?

I find that there are definitely times when I don't like how I've done a particular stitch or combination of stitches so I stop and think to myself - is this acceptable to me?

Some times I say yes and other times I say no depending on how comfortable I am with that peice of work representing me and my brand.

Do you always do everything perfectly?
