Where do you sit when you crochet? I sit on the couch and usually fight to keep my ball of yarn from running away from me. Sometimes it takes a tumble off the couch, goes under the couch, around the leg of the couch etc.
When I'm using a cone, I place that on the floor but that often falls over at some stage.
I've started using a wooden spindle which is like a lazy susan made for yarn! It fits all my balls of yarn plus a cone as well! Because it rotates, it doesn't fall over which I've found super useful.
